Spatial analysis of participants in world men´s championships in selected team sports

This bachelor thesis deals with spatial analysis of the world men´s championship in selected team sports, namely handball, volleyball, rugby, and floorball. The thesis consists of two main part - theoretical and analytical part. Theoretical part researches cultural geography, geography of sport, as well as the history and an overview of the world championships given by the sports. Analytical part contains spatial analysis participants of world championship of individual sports, which is the main goal this thesis. Data drawn from official websites international federations are used in map parts and comparations. The results of bachelor´s thesis brought survey, that handball and volleyball seem like sports, where more states compete between themselves, however the biggest number of states comes from Europe. Rugby and floorball are sports, which has their participants less concentration around the world, participants of world championship in rugby have connection with Great Britain and its colonization, participants of world championships in floorball have link to ice hockey.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the spatial analysis of participants in the World Men´s Championships in selected team sports, specifically basketball, soccer, cricket and field hockey. The aim of the work is the spatial analysis of all participants in all World Championships in the already mentioned sports. The work is divided into two main parts - theoretical and analytical. The theoretical part is focused mainly on cultural geography and the geography of sport, but also contains a brief overview of each World cup. For the analytic part, data on participants from official websites of international federations or associations are used. These data are the used in map works and comparisons. The results of the bachelor's thesis brought, among other things, the finding that basketball and football are sports in which a larger number of states compete and their focus is mainly in Europe, but also in the rest of the world, these sports are fairly evenly distributed. While cricket and field hockey are concentrated primarily in South Asia and Australia, this is especially true for cricket. There are also several countries from Europe at the top level in field hockey, but the countries of South Asia and Australia predominate.
Analysis of the Age Structure of the Volleyball Team at the Olympic Games, World and European Championships in years 1970 - 2016

The diploma thesis aim was to determine the age of top performance age of the three most successful volleyball teams in men and women category. The study was focused on world events such as Olympic Games, World Championships and European Championships. The thesis was concentrated on years 1970 to 2016. The theoretical part summarizes facts about volleyball and specific features of volleyball players. It also includes analysis of each volleyball matches during determined era. The synthetic part was written based on record sheets analysis. In total we analysed 3136 players - 1618 men and 1518 women. The age of the men top performance was 26,4 ? 3,7 years and in women category was 24,6 ? 3,7 years. The highest average of age is evident in group of players who started on Olympic games from 1972 until 2016. Average age of male players was 27,4 ? 4 years and average age of female players was 25,3 ? 3,7 years. At the World Championships from 1970 until 2014 was average age of male players 26,3 ? 3,6 years and female players 24,6 ? 3,4 years. The lowest average age is evident in groups of men and women players who played on European Championships from 1971 until 2015. Male players from European Champioships were average 25,9 ? 3,5 years old and female players were 24,2 ? 3,7 years old.
Achievements of our swimmers during the World competitions between 1950 and 2012

Name: Achievements of our swimmers on the World competitions since 1950 to nowadays. Goal: The goal of my work will be to gather significant results and success of Czech swimmers on the competitions of World, European and Olympics class and to judge a development of success of our swimmers through the time. On the significant performance of swimmers try to show capability of our swimmers to achieve the best results on competitions. Methods: In this thesis is used basic research of data which is important for main part of thesis. Results are stated on bases of strict standarts and they are choosing just from mentioned competitions. Than we use a comparison of data and then we use some basic maths operations to show results. Results: From the choose sources we found data and create a list of presences our swimmers on competitions of MS, ME, OH. Our results show a final position of swimmer in a competition, his time, Fina points and percentage value of his performance to his Pb. Results showing us that counts of our competitors is growing by the time 1950 - 2012. And on a last place we shortly show how swimmers were capable to focus their best physical conditions to the most important competitions. The growth in importance of the media social networking on the example of the 2015 IIHG Ice Hockey World Championship

This bachelor's thesis discusses the media utilisation of social networks such as Facebook and Twitter during a top worldwide sporting event. The theoretical part deals with the new media family, then with Facebook and Twitter, their history and operating principles. Besides the methodology, it also presents the 2015 IIHF World Championship, being the main subject of the social media networking. The content analysis of the social newtorks posts had been chosen as the research method for this thesis. The objective is finding out how these three chosen Czech media - Česká televize, news server iDnes.cz and Deník Sport were using the two social networks to inform the public about the tournament progress. The second goal was to compare the account contents of the three media to the two Czech IIHF Organization Committee channels and find out about the mistakes the media made while posting on social networks. The shovelware phenomenon is analysed extensively as one of the most used negative elements.
Pond Hockey World Championship, history, present, comparison of performance of male and female teams.

The diploma thesis is maping the World Pond Hockey Championship which helds place in Canada. The aim of this work is to analyze and characterize men's and women's teams that has participated at World Pond Hockey Championship. In the theoretical part of the thesis I was focusing on the history of men's and women's hockey on natural ice surfaces. I also characterized the World Pond Hockey Championship, rules of this sport and other big pond hockey tournaments. The practical part is devodet to the analyze of differencies between regular World Ice Hockey Championship and World Pond Hockey Championship. Furthermore the practical part analyzes men's and women's teams that has competed at the World Pond Hockey Championship. The analyze was done by my own observation, interviews with the players and coaches and also by the quantitative research from relevant sources.
Research of image of selected Czech biathletes

Title: Research of image of selected Czech biathletes Objectives: Main goal of this work based on marketing research is to analyse and evaluate image of selected Czech biathletes via questionnaire survey for general public in period before and after the World Championship and to compare results. Methods: In this work is used quantitative method of electronic survey. Survey was designed based on scale of biathlete's image mark, which was translated by literal edited translation method. Data collecting was ongoing in March in two phases, before and after the Biathlon World Championship 2019. For evaluation were used statistic methods and for compare results was used method of comparison. Results: The research result show that image is very subjective and it can be changed very fast. It can be changed based on performance of biathletes or based on different respondents' opinion. From general point of view based on this work we can say that Marketa Davidova is reaching best image.
